Target Audience
This seminar is intended for childbirth educators.
Course Content
-Breaking the Ice: using icebreakers to create a comfortable environment
for learning
-Learning Styles: assessing learning styles in order to choose appropriate
teaching methods
-Spicing Up Your Class: new ways to get your point across using
games, handouts and other techniques
-Focus on Fathers: discussion of the father's role during pregnancy,
through the transition to parenthood
-Dealing with Difficult Clients and Situations: identifying barriers
to group development and creating strategies for intervention

by meeting or exceeding the competencies and program guidelines
for perinatal education determined by AWHONN. "Provider is
